Bernard Moss - WORK IN PROGRESS

  • Capacity building in faith communities.  ( With John Pierson and Santokh Gill) Research completed with various faith communities in Stoke and Birmingham to assess their contributions to community capacity building. To be written up for publication.
  • Social Work and Skills Lab Training: One small step towards best practice? Journal  article for the Journal of Social Work Education special edition on service user and carers contributions to social work degree. Written in partnership with the service users and carers group.  Accepted for publication March 2005
  • Project for National Teaching Fellowship :  an exploration into ways in which issues around religion and spirituality can be incorporated into the social work curriculum.
  • Project start date May 2005 – to be completed within 3 years. Expectation that conference papers and articles, and a books of case study materials, will be produced as the project unfolds.
  • Case study / chapter submitted for publication in a book about Assessment of Skills in Higher Education.  Edited  by Professor Sally Brown, Leeds Metropolitan University.
  • Dictionary of Social Work, Collins.  The editors have been asked to prepare a third edition. I have contributed several entries to the previous editions.
  • Journal Article  Social and Public Policy Review with Neil Thompson : Spirituality and Equality : accepted for publication September 2006
  • Joint Paper ( with P Gilbert and R Merchant) for the Dilemmas in Social Care Conference at Staffordshire University 1/9/06 : Spirituality and Social Care : dead end or creative gateway?
  • Possible article(s) jointly with Betty Harris on the use of PBL in a joint nursing /social work curriculum
  • PhD.  I am planning to submit my various publications for a PhD by publications route at Staffordshire University. (2007/8)
